What is this zine about?

Wild Hunt is a charity zine focused on Zenos yae Galvus, the Garlean crown prince and traitor. This project will have physical copies, funded through a pre-order sale period, and all profit remaining after production will be donated to Rotary International to aid in relief efforts around the world.

Wild Hunt will contain depictions of canon-typical violence, as well as handle canon themes like racism, dehumanization, wars, the death of enemies and allies, and will not be suited for any consumers or contributors under the age of 18.

Will this zine allow ships or romantic content?

Yes, Wild Hunt will contain both canon and non-canon relationships. This includes but is not limited to WoL/NPC ships, NPC/NPC ships, and OC/OC ships. We do ask, however, that the focus of all zine pieces stays on Zenos as much as possible.

Will this zine include adult content?

Yes. As said prior, this zine will not be suitable for anyone under the age of 18. Contributors may choose to go beyond the level of violence or suggestive themes present in Final Fantasy XIV if they choose. This means pieces containing explicit sexual content or mild gore will be permitted!

What are the content limits?

While this zine will allow adult content, it definitely has limits. Pieces made for print may not include:

  • Racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, or otherwise hateful/discriminatory material*

  • Underage sexual content (ie. shota/loli)

  • Incestuous content

  • Non-consensual sexual content**

  • Highly-realistic gore**

  • Plagiarized, stolen, traced, or recolored works made my someone else

These guidelines are simplified and do not include a full breakdown of the zine guidelines. A full guide to the zine's content limits, including topics such as non-consensual experimentation and body horror (ie. that one specific EW cutscene), will be publicized once the Interest Check is complete and we finish reviewing the feedback.

*Canon-typical fantasy racism (ie. the use of the term "savages") will be accepted for print. We are not allowing any content that incites violence and/or disparages IRL racist groups, cultures, religions, etc.

**Applications allow the inclusion of samples and portfolio works that include non-con, realistic gore, and related triggering themes, but they must be tagged in accordance with the instructions in the Application Guide.

Can I feature my WoL in my piece(s)?

Absolutely! Contributors will be allowed to include their WoL(s) if they choose, just as they could use the default Mr. Final Fantasy (Meteor) or skip including a WoL altogether. The choice is theirs.

Can contributors create more than one piece?

Absolutely! The application form will include a field where applicants can select if they'd like to make either one or two pieces. This selection will not affect application acceptance.

Will the moderators be making pieces for this zine?

Moderators may opt-in to submitting works for the zine, but are not required to do so. While we will be contributors in the sense that we will be working to help this project succeed, moderator participation will be voluntary and will not change the announced contributor acceptance count.

Is this project for charity, or for profit?

This project is for charity. The charity we will be supporting is Rotary International.

How are contributors going to be compensated?

Contributors will receive a copy of the zine and a full digital bundle at minimum. Should we exceed the minimum break-even point, we will upgrade all contributor comp to a full bundle including physical merch. Remaining profit will be donated to Rotary International.

We will not be paying/monetarily compensating any part of the zine team. We are not a for-profit project.

For application guidelines, please refer to our Info Doc or the Application Guide.
